change

“The greatest danger in times of turbulence is not the turbulence; it is to act with yesterday’s logic.”

Peter Drucker

Change Management

“The Prosci definition of change management: the process, tools and techniques to manage the people side of change to achieve a required business outcome. Change management incorporates organisational tools which can be utilised to help individuals make successful personal transitions resulting in the adoption and realisation of change”. (source Prosci.com)

I have been a certified Prosci Change Management Practitioner since 2013 and have applied the methodology to assist clients in navigating change in their business and personal lives with great success.

Emotional Intelligence

“Game changing for business, life changing for people”. (source Genosinternational.com)

Human beings have emotions which impact us daily, whether we realise it or not. These emotions can enhance or derail our interactions with others.  Improving our awareness of them and understanding the impact they have on us can greatly enhance our effectiveness and relationships.

Developing emotional intelligence is critical for career progression.

“Emotional Intelligence accounts for 80% of career success”.

Daniel Goleman

leadership

“Coaching is unlocking a person’s potential to maximise their own performance. It is helping them to learn rather than teaching them”.

Timothy Gallwey

Leadership Coaching

We are all leaders as the basis for leadership is self-leadership.

Today’s work environment is ruthlessly demanding.  We need to constantly evaluate ourselves to assess our thought patterns, behaviours and skills to ensure that we remain relevant. A mind-set of lifelong learning and curiosity is essential to keep us “career-fit”.

Many of us have coaches to challenge, guide and educate us so that we meet our physical fitness plans and goals. In much the same way, personal coaching can provide tremendous benefit by helping us understand our patterns of behaviour, shift our mindsets and develop our leadership skills.

Talent Management

Traditional performance appraisal systems focus on measuring the achievement of specific metrics and improving performance.  They are carried out by the line manager and are usually one-on-one.  Talent Management shifts the focus from pure performance to a combination of performance and potential.  It also includes the full employee journey from recruitment to their transition through the organisation following upskilling and training.

Each level in the organisation evaluate the level below, which allows for a more balanced outcome as several people will usually give input on the person being evaluated. This process allows for cross functional career mapping and increased awareness of the talent within the organisation.

Employees often develop increased awareness of their options within the talent pipeline and many enjoy the ability to be rated on their potential as well as performance.

EI

“Talent Management is a business process, not an HR process. It is the intersection of people with business, technology and organisational strategy“.

Josh Bersin

These are some of the globally validated tools which can assist in your hiring decision?

  1. Profiles XT: Specialised tool designed for job matching on existing or customisable job patterns.
  2. Genos EI Selection Report: Emotional Intelligence Indicator.
  3. PDA: Personality based behavioural assessment and team fit.

See “assessments” for more information.

Recruitment and Development Assessor

I am accredited with a variety of assessment tools which support the recruitment and selection process.

According to research conducted in the US by management expert, Peter Drucker, 66 % of new hires (without the benefit of assessment data) will prove to be a mistake in the first year. This is a problem, and will only get worse because most of these miss-hired people will stay on your payroll.
